21:7 Last Reading
[The elders] shall speak up and say, 'Our hands have not spilled this blood, and our eyes have not witnessed it.'
Ve'anu ve'amru yadenu lo shafchu et-hadam hazeh ve'eyneynu lo ra'u.
21:8 [The priests shall then say,] 'Forgive Your people, whom You, God, have liberated. Do not allow [the guilt for] innocent blood to remain with your people Israel.'

The blood shall thus be atoned for.
Kaper le'amecha Yisra'el asher-padita Adonay ve'al-titen dam naki bekerev amecha Yisra'el venikaper lahem hadam.
