10:29 Moses said to his father-in-law, Chovev son of Reuel the Midianite, 'We are now on our way to the place that God promised to give us. Come with us and we will let you share the benefit of all the good things that God has promised Israel.'
Vayomer Moshe le-Chovav ben-Re'u'el haMidyani choten Moshe nos'im anachnu el-hamakom asher amar Adonay oto eten lachem lechah itanu vehetavnu lach ki-Adonay diber-tov al-Yisra'el.

Commentary:

his
  Literally, 'Moses.'

father-in-law
  (Rashi; Septuagint). Some identify him with Jethro, mentioned in Exodus 3:1, 18:1 (Rashbam; Ramban). According to others, Chovev was Moses' brother-in-law (Ibn Ezra).

promised to give us
  Literally, 'That God said, 'I will give it to you.' '

benefit of all the good things
