5:9

5:8	He shall bring them to the priest, who shall first sacrifice the one for the sin offering. He shall gouge through its neck from the back without separating [the head from the body]. Vehevi otam el-hakohen vehikriv et-asher lachatat rishonah umalak et-rosho mimul orpo velo yavdil.
5:9	He shall then drain some of the blood on the side of the altar, and the rest of the blood at the altar's base. This one is the sin offering. Vehizah midam hachatat al-kir hamizbe'ach vehanish'ar badam yimatseh el-yesod hamizbe'ach chatat hu.

Or, 'nip through its neck' (see Leviticus 1:15).
