11:42 Thus, you may not eat any creature that crawls on its belly, or any small animal with four or more feet that breeds on land. They are [all] things that must be avoided.

11:43 Do not make yourselves disgusting [by eating] any small creature that breeds. Do not defile yourselves with them, because it will make you spiritually insensitive.

Commentary:

or more feet
  Literally, 'or many feet.' Some say that this denotes the centipede (Chullin 67b; Rashi).

disgusting
  Or 'shunned.'

spiritually insensitive
  (Yoma 39b). Or, 'unclean.'
