  This might support the contention that the 'copper' mentioned here is actually brass (cf. Abarbanel). See note on Exodus 25:3.

  (Rashi). Some say to worship (Targum). Or, 'celebrated' (Ibn Janach), or 'exiled themselves' (Avraham ben HaRambam). Or, 'the craftswomen' (Ibn Ezra, short version).
