He was involved with his brothers in selling Joseph into slavery in Egypt, and was one of the ten sons to be sent to Egypt to buy corn. He settled in Egypt with his three sons, Sered, Elon, and Yachle'el. On his deathbed, Jacob blessed his children and said 'Zebulun shall settle the seashores; he will be a harbour for ships; his border shall reach Sidon (Genesis 49:13). Ancestor of the tribe of that name. | |
