For the Torah, for the divine worship, for the prophets, (and for this Sabbath Day), and for this Day of Atonement,
Al-hatorah, ve’al-ha’avodah, ve’al-hanevi’im, (ve’al-yom haShabat hazeh,) ve’al Yom haKipurim hazeh,
which You, O Lord our God, have given us (for holiness and for rest), for forgiveness, pardon and atonement, for honour and glory,
shenatata lanu, Adonay Eloheynu, (likdushah velimnuchah,) limchilah velislichah ulechaparah velimchol bo et-kol-avonoteynu, lechavod uletif’aret.
For all these we thank You and bless You, O Lord our God: Blessed be your name by the mouth of every living being continually and for ever: Your word is true and endures for ever.
Al-hakol, Adonay Eloheynu, anachnu modim lach umevarechim otach, yitbarach shimcha befi kol-chay tamid le’olam va’ed udvarecha emet vekayam la’ad.
Blessed are You - the Lord, King, who pardons and forgives our sins and the sins of Your people, the house of Israel, and makes our transgressions pass away year by year; King over the whole earth, who sanctifies (the Sabbath), Israel and the Day of Atonement.
Baruch atah Adonay, melech, mochel vesole’ach la’avonoteynu, vela’avonot amo beyt Yisra’el, uma’avir ashmoteynu, bechol shanah veshanah, melech al-kol-ha’arets, mekadesh (haShabat ve)Yisra’el veYom haKipurim.
